Before We Start…
Projectors today are smarter than ever. People can now share content between projectors and devices via WI-FI. If you’re using an Apple product, it will be the protocol you connect your device to the projector. So, what is AirPlay?
We will go through these topics:
What is AirPlay?
Airplay is Apple’s protocol for wirelessly transmitting audio and video over a network. Music, video or screen content can be wirelessly transmitted from the sending device and displayed on the receiving device. This means that it will only work if both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, within Bluetooth range, or connected to the same router using an Ethernet cable.
How does it work?
For example, if you want to stream video from your iPhone to a projector, it is a convenient way. Both devices need to connect at the same Wi-Fi network, so that the video content can transmit from the iPhone to the projector.
The Bottom Line
Airplay is only available for Apple devices, not Windows and Android devices. If it isn’t working, you may need to troubleshoot the Apple or the compatible device involved, or even reset your Wi-Fi router.
AirPlay works on Apple device ONLY.
